General Computer Background I have been working with computers since I was 12 years old. Yes, I'm a geek, but I'm a good guy, too (check out my personal history and you'll see what I mean). I got involved in the Internet near it's inception, and worked with old bulletin board systems before that (message boards, chat rooms, and online games, which eventually evolved into the AOLs and CompuServes of today).Web Design Skills
I've been doing web design since 1996, both professionally (with BuyItNow.com and QwestDex) and personally (with Fivehole Design Studios and Blue Fish Designs), so I am very comfortable talking to clients about their needs in that realm. I am also comfortable consulting them on ways they can build their web site and marketing strategy. Have confidence in me to ensure your clients will be getting what they need when they talk to me about their web site. Internet Advertising & Delivering Rich Media While working at MatchLogic in 2000-2001, I was able to focus on Internet marketing strategies and delivering Rich Media content over the web. I worked with a lot of bright, young companies that have visions of a multimedia universe which allowed me to be exposed to many different kinds of banner ads, superstitial ads (ads between pages), and pop-up ads (both the annoying X-10-type ads and the well-done expandable pop-ups which are user-initiated). This experience helps me bring advertising and marketing experience to the table for the customer. I know what works and what doesn't, so I can guide them towards the best use of their advertising dollar. Customer-Centric Mindset Finally, I bring over a decade of a customer-centric mindset that I have developed over the years. I treat customers with respect and never talk down to them. If they are not technically-minded, I can bring high-level concepts to their level of understanding. I can also talk tech with those who understand it. I pride myself on being able to determine the level that I need to be at within a few moments, and adjust as necessary. I also know how to take an irate customer and calm them down so that I can get to the root of their problems. This is a necessary tool in today's world, and I believe I can deliver. I hope that what I have said will help you understand what I bring to the table. I look forward to working with you! [Back To Top]
So, what about my current job here at QwestDex? I am continuing in the tradition of learning new and interesting businesses. Since I hadn't ever really been involved with true sales, I thought I would work hard and see if I could translate my customer centric background to the sales model. I believe it was been successful, as I brought in over $160,000 in revenue while I was working as a product specialist from November, 2001 until August of 2002.
However, I feel that my skills were put to better use when I was brought over to the creative team in August, 2002, which is where I am still working to this day. I create web sites, banner advertisements, and many of the other creative products that we offer at QwestDex. And now, with the sale of QwestDex which will transform it into DexMedia, I believe that I have positioned myself to be a great asset to the new company.

I have set up a seperate page for my resumé since having it here would have made this page a bit too long. Please click here to see my resumé. Thanks![Back To Top]
Current Events I am happy to be married to my wife of three years (April 24th), Delphine, who gave birth to our first child, who was born on June 21, 2002. She is the most amazing person I've ever known, and I can't wait to watch her grow and learn. We're doing the room in Dr. Seuss (see below), including a huge wall mural that Ben Kinsella, Carrie Fox, and Jason Armour are helping me with. And, since both of us are adopted, this is the first time either of us have looked upon a blood relation. Kind of cool, eh?!My Interests
Like I mentioned above, I am a huge Dr. Seuss fan. I collect just about anything Seussian there is including 1st Edition and regular books, ornaments, movies, CDs, games, etc. I also have two tattoos (one of the Cat and one of the Grinch, to have a ying and yang effect), on the insides of my ankles. I plan to get at least three more. And before you ask, yes, I did think about it before I got them. I took a year to decide what I wanted, and then realized that since I would want to teach my kids and grandkids about Dr. Seuss, that it would be the perfect thing to get. Other Fun Stuff About Me
My other interests include playing softball (usually 2-3 leagues a year), listening to a wide variety of music, playing a mean game of chess, collecting sports memoribilia, acting in and directing community theatre, and getting the house ready for a baby (you never know how much stuff you're going to need, even after your friends all go through it). Of course, I also love playing on the computer, whether it be doing web design, graphic design, CD cover art for friends, or playing games. [Back To Top]
